Welcome acupuncturist Melody Osgood to Seneca Falls Acupuncture!

Melody is a licensed acupuncturist, certified hospice and palliative care acupuncturist, and trained doula.

Melody is in the office Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and regularly has office hours until 7:00 pm. 

A little bit about Melody:

Education:

    • – Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology

    • – Master’s of Acupuncture from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture (now North East College of Health Sciences)

    • – Certified with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)

Melody has six years of experience in acupuncture and she loves treating women’s health concerns (regulating the menstrual cycle, painful period, PMS, hot flashes, etc.), pain management, cosmetic acupuncture, and connective tissue disorders including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Melody’s Background:

From a young age, Melody knew that she wanted to be a healthcare practitioner to help others. Originally intending to become a doctor, she realized in undergrad that the biomedical approach to healthcare didn’t resonate with her.

Not long after undergrad, she discovered acupuncture and loved that it’s about treating both the root and the branch of the illness.

Melody takes a particular interest in the life cycle and in the transitions we make in life, such as birth and death.

This led her to pursue her certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Acupuncture as well as DONA training as a Doula. 

When she’s not treating patients or attending births, you’ll find Melody spending time with her husband, two-year old son, and two cats. She loves hiking and foraging for wild herbs and mushrooms, gardening, and working on her home.
