Facial gua sha and jade roller skin care tools at Seneca Falls Acupuncture

Learn how to use these ancient Chinese beauty tools to get smooth, glowing, lifted skin.

Jade rollers and gua sha stones have been used as beauty tools in China for over a thousand years.

Join me for one of our hands-on Jade Roller & Gua Sha Workshops! Classes are held monthly.

At the workshop, you’ll get everything you need to practice along with me. I’ll walk you through the steps for using both a jade roller and gua sha tool.

The cost is $40/person and includes:

  • Rose quartz gua sha tool (regularly $32)
  • Serum sample
  • Face cleanser sample

What’s a jade roller? What’s gua sha?

Both are smooth, cooling massage tools cut from pure crystal. They’re traditionally made of jade (the stone of beauty in Chinese medicine) but also come in rose quartz, amethyst, and other stones.

A jade roller is a gentle tool for lifting and smoothing the skin, and a gua sha tool is for sculpting your natural features and more vigorously improving circulation.

What are jade rollers and gua sha used for?

The purpose of both is to improve lymphatic drainage (reducing puffiness) and improve circulation in the face and neck.

The benefits of jade rollers (more gentle):

  • Promote blood circulation
  • Increase lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness
  • Help serum sink deeper into skin

The benefits of gua sha (more sculpting):

  • Relieve tension
  • Contour and sculpt the face
  • Promote blood circulation
  • Break down scar tissue
  • Lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness
  • Faster healing
  • Skin tightening

What do you learn in class?

I’ll walk you through how to use both a jade roller and a gua sha tool and practice together. We’ll also talk about using a face serum for “slip” on the skin, tips and tricks for getting the most out of your jade roller/gua sha practice, anti-aging tips for the skin, and more. And of course, I walk around and make sure everyone is using proper technique.
